The file contains various newsletters, calendars, correspondence, obituaries, and ephemera Cunnings collected about the District of Coquitlam Parks and Recreation Department's activities.
A significant portion of the file consists of photographs depicting canoeing, archery, track and field, figure skating, swimming; groups such as the Kinsmen club and the City of Coquitlam Retirees Association; City events such as the celebrations of the City of Coquitlam's city status, BC Summer Games, and Centennial Celebrations; as well as development, programs, and activities the Department undertook in all of their parks. These include photographs of Blue Mountain Park, Brookmere Park, Burke Mountain Park, Burquitlam Park, Como Lake Park, Dogwood Park, Eagle Ridge Park, Mackin Park, Mundy Park, Poirier Street Park, Rivervew Park, Rochester Park, Town Centre Park (stadium and track), and Victoria Park. Also included are photographs of municipal, sports, and cultural buildings, including the Centennial Activity Centre, Coquitlam Sports Centre, the parks office, Place Des Arts, the Public Works yard, Social Rec Centre, and the Tennis Centre.

The series consists of colour and black and white photographic prints, negatives and digital photographs on CD of events and celebrations held by or participated in by the Caisse Populaire/Village Credit Union.
The collection consists largely of research materials and notes created in the preparation of Boire's book "With Hearts and Minds" published in 2016. The remainder of the collection consists of materials collected by Boire from Caisse Populaire Maillardville Credit Union, as well as accumulated material pertaining to Boire’s involvement in several community initiatives, such as the Maillardville Residents' Association, Maillardville revitalization and planning, and Place Maillardville.
Materials include correspondence, photographs, administrative records, interviews, reports, handwritten notes, clippings, advertising and professional materials, newsletters, research materials, prints, postcards, ephemera, a map, embossing seals, a lid from a glass milk bottle, and other documents. The collection also includes a manuscript copy of “With Hearts and Minds”.

Firstly, it encompasses the records of Boire's time with the Maillardville Residents' Association (MRA), on its Maillardville revitalization and planning Task Force, which was instrumental for advocating for development activities. The series also contains records about the development of Place Maillardville, the Coquitlam Heritage Society, as well as the Vancity Maillardville Advisory Committee. Lastly, the series contains fliers, ephemera, and articles about events in Maillardville, including the Festival du Bois, and the 2009 Maillardville centenary.

The series consists primarily of photocopied materials accumulated by Boire relating to the history of Maillardville as well as the research notes he created during the process of writing and publishing his book, "With Hearts and Minds."
