This subseries consists of records related to administrative, operational, and financial functions at at the School of Psychiatric Nursing as well as records from its events and graduations. The subseries also includes some records from New Westminster Public Hospital for the Insane, with unclear chain of custody.

Record types include manuals, reports, policies and procedures, histories, study notes, staff lists, programs, minutes, pay slips, constitutions, and bylaws.

Administrative and membership records

The series consists of records pertaining to the Burquitlam Lions Club's (BLC) administrative and membership activities. It contains material relating to the history and objectives of the BLC, including its constitution and policies, as well as the day-to-day operations of the club. Additionally, it contains membership records, a core aspect of BLC administration.

The series is divided into several subseries: membership records; agendas and minutes of meetings; constitution, policies and procedures; correspondence.

The series consists primarily of textual material. The series consists of a certificate granted to Wilfred Harris in 1926 certifying his completion of McLean Method of Writing and two completed building permit applications prepared for the District of Coquitlam and signed by Wilfred Harris

Assorted School Records

The collection consists of records accumulated by Shyla Seller during her time as a student at Parkland Elementary School, Como Lake Junior Secondary School, and Centennial High School.

Record types include yearbooks and annual directories, report cards, certificates, photographs, and a newspaper clipping.

Burquitlam Elementary School

The subseries consists of formal class portraits and staff portraits; photographs of student activities; certificates documenting the awards, appreciation and commendation of the school and the success of its programs; and some photographic slides and textual records about the school's potential closure in 1987.

Events and programs

The series contains records related to events held and specific programs supported by the Burquitlam Lions Club from 1969 to 2018. The Burquitlam Lions Club organized annual Christmas hampers, Easter Egg hunts, and meat draws. They also supported hearing aid and eyeglass initiatives, Easter Seals camps, and notably funded two care centres: the Burquitlam Lions Intermediate Care Centre (1981-2016) and L.J. Christmas Manor Seniors Home.

Record types include event planning materials and timelines, correspondence, guestbooks, newspaper clippings, as well as activity reports, photographs, and scrapbooks.

Hat with badges

This item consists of one red baseball hat with assorted badges and pins attached. The badges and pins represent different American states and were accumulated during the course of the Olympics of the Mind 1986 tournament in Flagstaff, Arizona. The team members wore these hats during the tournament.

Miscellaneous publications

This subseries contains miscellaneous reference materials that were not related to scholarly communications or public relations materials. It was originally a division in the museum library collection. Record types include guides, assorted journal articles and reports, newspaper articles, and best practices.
