The Riverview Hospital Historical Society collection consists of the records collected and maintained by the Riverview Hospital Historical Society (RHHS). Through their museum and library, the RHHS acquired and stewarded records documenting the history of Riverview Hospital, the British Columbia School of Psychiatric Nursing, and the history of psychiatric care in British Columbia.
The collection consists of a range of documentary forms, including: reports, theses, newspaper clippings, newsletters, publications, correspondence, manuals, plans and drawings, directories, inventories, procedures, programmes, annuals, invitations, motion pictures, personal narratives, staff lists, minutes, study notes, scrapbooks, ephemera, and photographs depicting aspects of social and administrative life at the hospital and school.
The collection is arranged into ten series that reflect original collections maintained by the RHHS, and are organized by media type or content. See the Arrangement note below for more information.
Zonder titelThe collection consists of three panoramic photographs. One photograph shows the congregation of Our Lady of Fatima (Notre Dame de Fatima) gathered around the travelling statue of Our Lady of the Cape (Notre Dame du Cap) in 1950. The second photograph shows the congregation of Our Lady of Fatima posed in front of the Church after its construction in 1959. This photograph is assumed to have been taken either in the year of construction or sometime in the early 1960s. The third photograph shows the congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes (Notre Dame de Lourdes) gathered in front of the church with the statue of Our Lady of the Cape (Notre Dame du Cap) on December 17th, 1950.

ArtsConnect organized many exhibitions covering a wide range of media: painting, sculpture, photography, performing arts, decorative arts, and video art. Annual exhibitions featured in the series include Works in 3D, Faces of the World Arts and Culture Festival, Vernissage, and Innovations. The series also includes the media coverage of events and exhibitions.
The resulting records are largely textual in form and include correspondence with artists and exhibitors, press releases, art and artist lists, exhibition proposals, application forms, internal memos and scheduling documents, installation records, artist CVs, contracts, didactics, artists' statements, promotional materials, invitations, condition reports, loan agreement forms, and newspaper clippings. Some audio and visual material, including photographs, installation plans, cassette tapes, and magnetic tapes, are also present.
Zonder titelThis subseries consists primarily of photographs that depict aspects of social and administrative life at Riverview Hospital and the nursing school. These photographs include staff and volunteer portraits, identification photographs, retirement and goodbye teas, awards dinners, luncheons, grand openings, seminars, lectures, courses, staff trips, holiday events, displays, and graduations from the School of Psychiatric Nursing. Additionally, this subseries contains photographs depicting the interiors and exteriors of buildings on Riverview Hospital grounds, the Woodlands School (TWS), as well as various public works projects, vehicles, and medical supplies used by the hospital staff.
Record types consists largely of silver gelatin negatives in large format cellulose acetate sheets and cellulose acetate film strips. The subseries also contains chromogenic colour negative film strips and large format sheets, silver gelatin DOP prints, a photograph album, and a scrapbook.
The fonds consists of approx. 100,000 photographs (b&w and colour negatives) and contact sheets taken by photographer Paul VanPeenen between August 1991 and December 2001 for the Coquitlam NOW.

The collection consists of two original photographs of the Coquitlam Football Club from 1910-1912. The collection also includes one copy print of the first photograph (C19.001) with typed annotations and two b&w copy prints of the second image (C19.002). The photographs include the names of the players as well as the names of the various trophies that appear in the photographs.
The Hoy-Scott Watershed Society fonds consists of the records created and received by the Hoy-Scott Watershed Society and reflects its hatchery operations, salmonid enhancement and environmental stewardship programs, events, and environmental advocacy initiatives in the larger Coquitlam Watershed.
The fonds consists of administrative records, reports, correspondence, event planning files, newspaper clippings, newsletters, publications, plans, a scrapbook, promotional materials, and photographs documenting the activities of the Hoy-Scott Watershed Society and the operations of the Hoy Creek Hatchery in Coquitlam.

The subseries consists of 13 b&w glass plate negatives depicting the West Lawn building, which opened in 1913, as well as interior shots of various labs and lounges, and the dormitory. There is also a photograph of an unidentified building, and an interior shot of the shoe workshop at the Provincial Hospital for the Insane in New Westminster, B.C.
The fonds consists of photographs taken as part of real estate appraisals in Coquitlam.

Photographs depict Hellard and other committee members, the centennial mascot "the Town Logger," Mayor Lou Sekora, and images from the PNE Parade.
The file consists of photographs and a few newsclippings related to life in early Maillardville and at Fraser Mills (which was owned during this time by Canadian Western Lumber Company Limited).
The series contains records related to events held and specific programs supported by the Burquitlam Lions Club from 1969 to 2018. The Burquitlam Lions Club organized annual Christmas hampers, Easter Egg hunts, and meat draws. They also supported hearing aid and eyeglass initiatives, Easter Seals camps, and notably funded two care centres: the Burquitlam Lions Intermediate Care Centre (1981-2016) and L.J. Christmas Manor Seniors Home.
