Biographical history

William Ostenstad grew up in Coquitlam, attending Como Lake Middle School and Centennial High School. As a young man he worked at Fraser Mills while also attending Simon Fraser University.

Custodial history

The records were in the custody of William Ostenstad until he transferred them to the archives in 2024.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of a postcard depicting 13 soldiers in Burquitlam as well as 7 photographs of the Fraser Mills townsite taken in 1973 shortly before it was closed down by Crown Zellebach.
