Vision
Residents of Coquitlam feel a strong sense of community and are aware of their city?s rich history and promising future. Residents are confident that the corporate history of the municipal government and the historical memory of businesses, organizations, and residents, are safeguarded for future generations.

Mission
The City of Coquitlam Archives preserves and facilitates access to the city?s corporate memory, and acquires, preserves, and promotes the historical memory of organizations, businesses, and residents, to ensure that current and future generations understand their shared history and feel a strong sense of community.

Mandate
The City of Coquitlam Archives preserves and makes accessible the records of enduring value of the City of Coquitlam and its predecessor administrative bodies. The Archives also acquires, preserves, and makes accessible the records of businesses, organizations, and private individuals that are of significance to the municipality and deemed worthy of long-term preservation.
