The ArtsConnect Tri-Cities Arts Council fonds consists of the records created and received by the arts council and reflects its exhibitions and events, programs, workshops, awards and scholarships, fundraising, and advocacy for the arts in the Tri-Cities, predominantly from 1990 to 2008.

The fonds consists of a record types including minutes, reports, constitutions, correspondence, event planning files, production and exhibition files, newspaper clippings, newsletters, publications, plans, programmes, a scrapbook, promotional materials, and photographs depicting the many arts and cultural initiatives ArtsConnect organized and sponsored.

The fonds is arranged into seven series by the archivist. See the Physical condition and Arrangement note below for more information.

Assorted photographs

The subseries consists of assorted miscellaneous photographs collected by the Coquitlam Heritage Society, depicting houses in Maillardville, people, activities and events in the Maillardville area, including May Day, and the renovations of Mackin House.

Coquitlam 100 Years collection

The collection consists of approx. 640 photographic prints used for the "Coquitlam 100 Years: Reflections of the Past" publication produced by the District of Coquitlam in 1991. The collection also includes the transcripts of interviews used in the publication as well as the administrative files of the Pioneer Tales of Coquitlam Committee and various publications and pamphlets used for contextual information for the book.

The collection consists of material accumulated by the Coquitlam Heritage Society over the course of its existence. The collection includes the following: records related to Fraser Mills (later the Canadian Western Lumber Company, then Crown Zellerbach) including ledger books, journals, statements, photographs, and various other records; records related to the lumber industry in Coquitlam; photographs of historic Coquitlam; glass plate negatives by W.J. Moore and Richard Broadridge; material related to the administration of the Coquitlam Heritage Society itself; and miscellaneous records related to Coquitlam's history

Coquitlam Survey (Maillardville)

The file consists of a variety of photographic material that was likely used in the preparation of a publication, though the specific publication is unknown. Some of the prints are taken from the large format negatives in File 1 of this collection. Predominantly, the negatives depict houses in the Coquitlam area, but there are also some negatives and prints of historical photographs of early Coquitlam.

The series consists of photographs from various photographers donated to the Coquitlam Heritage Society by various donors. The photographs feature the following: early life in Maillardville; workers, housing, and machinery at Fraser Mills; renovations of Mackin House; events at Mackin House; houses in Maillardville; and various locations around British Columbia (taken by photographers W.J. Moore and Richard Broadbridge).

The fonds consists of bound copies of The Tri-Cities Now, The Now, and the Coquitlam Now newspapers from 1984 to 2015 (1986 is missing), prints of photographs from 1991, copies of the newspaper on microfiche for various years, and photographs and contents of the newspaper on CD-ROM from 2007 to 2015.

The fonds consists of photographs (b&w and colour negatives) taken by staff and contract photographers of the Tri-City News, and the Sunday News. The fonds also includes 133 bound volumes of copies of the Tri-City News from 1990 to 2018, as well as 6 microfilm reels containing copies of the Tri-City News, the Maple Ridge News, and the Sunday News from 1985 to 1986. Finally, the fonds includes several loose special editions in print form.

The series consists of copies of the Tri-City News from 1990 to 2022 printed and bound in large volumes, arranged by month and year. The series also includes microfilmed copies of the Tri-City News from 1985 and 1986.

What Newspapers Say About C.P.R. Grain Elevators at Port Coquitlam

The item consists of a poster advertising development in what is now Port Coquitlam. The poster was produced by the Coquitlam Terminal Company Limited/Coquitlam Townsite Company Limited of 549-553 Granville St, Vancouver BC. The title of the poster is "What Newspapers say about C.P.R. Grain Elevators at Port Coquitlam" and it features copies of newspaper clippings from The Province, Sun, and World from January, 1913.
