Custodial history
The large negatives were formerly in the custody of the Coquitlam Museum (Coquitlam Historical Society) and were transferred to the Port Moody Heritage Society in the early 1980s when the Coquitlam Historical Society folded. The material was then transferred to the Coquitlam Public Library ca. 2012, before being transferred to the City of Coquitlam Archives in August, 2013.
Scope and content
The file consists of historical photographs of Coquitlam (and one of Port Coquitlam) that were shot as large format halftone negatives that were prepared for publication, though it is unknown for what purpose.
