The Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable (CRWRt) came about as the successful outcome of a multi-phase watershed strategy (2007-2011) aimed at improving collaboration and problem-solving amongst the many stakeholders in the watershed. The Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable was launched in February 2011 at an inaugural meeting of watershed partners and the community.

The Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable coordinates and implements activities which promote the long-term sustainability of the Coquitlam River watershed based on the agreed-to mission, vision and values of the watershed. Following a set of guiding principles, the types of activities the Roundtable might undertake, given adequate resources, include coordinating monitoring efforts, participating in the preparation of a plan for the watershed, sponsoring educational events, or working towards consensus on issues that affect the watershed.
