Institutionele geschiedenis

Glacier Media Group was founded on March 23, 1988. It provides business intelligence, marketing and advertising, and community media services. The company owns a large number (60 as of 2020) of community newspapers in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Geschiedenis beheer

The photographs were taken by staff and contract photographers for various for the Tri-City News. The photographs were stored at the Tri-City News offices in Port Coquitlam up until the point of transfer to the City of Coquitlam Archives in 2015.

The bound volumes of the Tri-City News were created annually by staff and were maintained at the Tri-City News offices in Port Coquitlam until the point of transfer to the City of Coquitlam Archives in several accessions between 2015 and 2020.

Bereik en inhoud

The fonds consists of photographs (b&w and colour negatives) taken by staff and contract photographers of the Tri-City News, and the Sunday News. The fonds also includes 133 bound volumes of copies of the Tri-City News from 1990 to 2018, as well as 6 microfilm reels containing copies of the Tri-City News, the Maple Ridge News, and the Sunday News from 1985 to 1986. Finally, the fonds includes several loose special editions in print form.
