The photographs were sent to Edie Doepker, a City of Coquitlam employee, by the donor Marlene Hancock. the photographs originally belonged to the donor's aunt, Eileen Lucy Purkiss, who knew the Dansey family, and was a journalist for the Columbian Newspaper for 50 years. It is unclear when the photographs were donated, but most likely it was before the establishment of the City of Coquitlam Archives.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Dansey family.

The photographs of the family are faded. The photograph of Frank Dansey has some scratches.
