Custodial history

The collection was donated by the Coquitlam Public Library who received the material from the Port Moody Heritage Society. The material was originally donated by Ted Clark to the Coquitlam Historical Society in 1978. The Coquitlam Historical Society ceased operations in the early 1980s and their material was transferred to the Port Moody Heritage Society.

Scope and content

The collection consists of portraits taken of the May Queens and attendants from 1940 to 1962, as well as the Roll Book which provides the name of each girl in the photographs, including the list of names for the 1971 May Day celebrations for the British Columbia centennial.
