The badges and pins represent different American states and were accumulated during the course of the Olympics of the Mind 1986 tournament in Flagstaff, Arizona. The team members wore these hats during the tournament.

The item consists of a scrapbook relating to the 1979 Golden Homecoming at Mountain View School. The scrapbook includes news clippings relating to the event and to students and teachers, photographs of former students and teachers, a program for the event, and a number of cards and postcards.
