Administrative history

Centennial Secondary School is a high school located at 570 Poirier Street, Coquitlam, British Columbia. It was established in 1967, the centennial year of Canadian Confederation. In 2013, the school began plans to demolish and redesign the school building. In September 2017, students and faculty moved into the new building and demolition of the old school was completed in May 2018.

Custodial history

Some records were donated by the Coquitlam Public Library who received a group of records relating to School District No. 43 from the Port Moody Heritage Society ca. 2011. The copies of "The Catalyst" student newspaper were transferred from the Coquitlam Heritage Society.

Scope and content

The subseries consists of one yearbook from 1976 and copies of the Centennial student newspaper, "The Catalyst" from 1968 to 2008.
