    Biographical history

    Ken McLaren was born in 1947. He was hired by the District of Coquitlam in the building department in 1967. In 1969, he became the first staff member of the District's planning department. He worked as a planner for the City of Coquitlam for 37 years, retiring in 2004 . His father, Robert, was in the Canadian Airforce and worked as a groom at Minnekhada Lodge.

    The fonds consists of records related to the professional and personal life of Ken McLaren and his family. McLaren worked as a Planner for the City of Coquitlam for many years. The fonds also contains photographs that depict the work of his father, Robert, who worked as a groom at Minnekahda Lodge.
