Seller Family Photographs

This series consists of photographs of Bill and Nina Seller as well as photographs of various locations of the franchise of Hol 'n' One donut shops they owned.

Security Dockets

Series consists of legal documents sent to the Clerk's Office or signed and sealed by Council and registered under the Clerk's docket system. Such records include public works contracts, service agreements, deeds, development permits, development variance permits, subdivision permits, zoning and rezoning permits, grant documents and insurance policies, as well as some supporting correspondence. Each docket was given a unique docket number by the Clerk's Office and filed numerically. Generally speaking, the dockets are the original records corresponding to Council resolutions dealing with the acceptance of agreements or approval of permits. The first two dockets contain records relating to the District's incorporation.

Second World War Records

The series primarily consists of photographs taken of Russell Hellard and by Russell Hellard while serving in the Canadian Army during the Second World War as part of the No. 1 Wireless Signal Group of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. The series also includes a copy of Russell Hellard's military personnel file acquired from Library and Archives Canada, as well as some loose assorted documentation collected during his service. Finally, the series includes a copy of "Journey Down Under," a memoir written by George L. Drummond; a souvenir booklet about the history of the Number One Canadian Special Wireless Group; and a published book entitled, "The Invisible War: The Untold Secret Story of Number One Canadian Special Wireless Group," by Gil Murray.

Second World War Maps

The file includes three digital images of maps depicting several battles and operations from the Second World War (Battle of the Rhineland, 1945; Battle of the Scheldt, 1944; and the Rhineland Operation "Veritable", 1945). The maps were used in the "Catch-as-catch-can" book (see page 55).

Search and Rescue Materials from Other Organizations

The file consists of materials related to Search and Rescue programs and training facilitated by other organizations including the Province of British Columbia, North Shore Search and Rescue, and the Justice Institute. Materials include educational items about search and rescue techniques, meeting minutes, a program evaluation, a certificate, information about bloodhounds, and newsletters.
