The file consists of photographs and a few newsclippings related to life in early Maillardville and at Fraser Mills (which was owned during this time by Canadian Western Lumber Company Limited).
Binder 3 - Photographs of Fraser Mills
The file consists of a collection of photographs showing the working mill as well as the townsite of Fraser Mills. The binder also includes several copies of photographs of members of the Booth Family and the Booth Farm.
Binder 4 - Assorted historical records pertaining to life in Maillardville
The file consists of assorted historical documents from many different donors related to life in Maillardville, including product catalogues, dairy labels, stamps, postcards, greeting cards, newspaper articles, invitations, certificates, Canadian Western Lumber Company records, Crown Zellerbach records, calendars, school badges, school report cards, church programs, history essays, newspaper articles, police department records, tax statements, a liquor permit, insurance books, a book of poetry, a marriage certificate, and two small gospel books.
The file consists of photographs from the 1940s and 1950s of Maillardville and Fraser Mills, as well as assorted colour photographs of Fraser Mills, and assorted B&W photographs of lumber mills around BC and Washington State, including: Sooke Forest Products, Ladysmith Forest Products, Weldwood Empire Lumber - Squamish, Carrier Lumber - Mackenzie, B.C. Forest Products - Mackenzie, West Fraser Lumber - Quesnel, Northwood Lumber - Prince George, Weyerhauser - Cottage Grove, Simpson Timber - Shelton Washington, Weyerhauser - Everett Washington, and Doman - Cowichan Bay)
The file also includes colour photographs of houses in Maillardville taken by Antonio Paré as part of the preparation of his book, "My Mémoirs of le Vieux Maillardville." Most colour photographs seem to have been taken in 1992.
