The collection consists of records gathered by Walter Bruce MacDonald as research materials and content for a biography of Roderick Charles (R.C.) MacDonald. Second World War Maps

The file includes three digital images of maps depicting several battles and operations from the Second World War (Battle of the Rhineland, 1945; Battle of the Scheldt, 1944; and the Rhineland Operation "Veritable", 1945). The maps were used in the "Catch-as-catch-can" book (see page 55).

Scrapbook (1945-1951)

The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs, invitations, programs, pamphlets, correspondence, and copies of legislation that were collected by R.C. MacDonald's staff between 1945 and 1951. The scrapbook documents R.C. MacDonald's tenure as M.L.A. for the Dewdney riding during the period in which he served as Minister of Mines and Minister of Municipal Affairs.

R.C. MacDonald Political records

The series consists of records related to Roderick Charles (R.C.) MacDonald's political career as Reeve of the Corporation of the District of Coquitlam (1924-1941), as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Dewdney riding (1941-1952), and as Minister of Mines (1946-1949) and Minister of Municipal Affairs (1949-1952). The records include speeches, newspaper clippings, election materials, and two large scrapbooks that were prepared by staff in his constituency office. The scrapbooks include newspaper clippings, photographs, invitations, programs, pamphlets, and other assorted records.
