The series consists of copies of the community newsletter "City of Coquitlam News" as well as copies of the employee newsletters "The Coquitlam Echo," and "The City of Coquitlam Echo." The series also consists of colour photographs submitted by city staff to be included in the Coquitlam Echo. The photographs include those that were used in the various issues between 1998 and 2003 as well as additional photographs from employee events.
