Administrative history

In 1929, Council noted that Blue Mountain School was no longer in condition to be used and that a new school be built at Smith Road, called Mountain View School. It is currently located at 740 Smith Ave, Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Custodial history

The record was donated by the Coquitlam Public Library after it was transferred from the Port Moody Heritage Society.

Scope and content

The item consists of a scrapbook relating to the 1979 Golden Homecoming at Mountain View School. The scrapbook includes news clippings relating to the event and to students and teachers, photographs of former students and teachers, a program for the event, and a number of cards and postcards.

Physical condition

The scrapbook has been dismantled by the Port Moody Heritage Society and news clippings and photographs have been put in acid-free envelopes to preserve them. The envelopes are found next to the pages where the material was previously affixed.
