The series consists of records relating to the Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam Crime Prevention Society, an independent volunteer organization that was formed in 1996 to assist police, community organizations, committees, and citizens in crime prevention activities. Russell Hellard was the President and Chairman of the Society until its dissolution in 2000. The records include meeting minutes, notes, official documentation of the society, including the notice of dissolution, as well as records relating to public forums that were hosted by the Society. The series also includes photographs of the community forums that took place in March, 1997.
