Charles Doherty collected materials
Dr. Charles E. Doherty was a psychiatrist and the ninth Medical Superintendent of British Columbia, in charge of overseeing operations at Riverview Hospital. He was a graduate of Trinity University and Trinity Medical College, and was appointed to Essondale in 1905. The file consists of scans of newspaper and magazine articles related to Doherty's involvement in Essondale's development and 3 scanned prints of Doherty and his family.

One photograph shows the congregation of Our Lady of Fatima (Notre Dame de Fatima) gathered around the travelling statue of Our Lady of the Cape (Notre Dame du Cap) in 1950. The second photograph shows the congregation of Our Lady of Fatima posed in front of the Church after its construction in 1959. This photograph is assumed to have been taken either in the year of construction or sometime in the early 1960s. The third photograph shows the congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes (Notre Dame de Lourdes) gathered in front of the church with the statue of Our Lady of the Cape (Notre Dame du Cap) on December 17th, 1950.
