Catherine Murray collected materials
Catherine Murray was a psychiatric nurse and graduated from the School of Psychiatric Nursing in 1941. In 1953 she was given the Psychiatric Nurse of the Year award. She worked as a psychiatric nurse at Riverview Hospital, and acted as the Faculty Advisor to the Student Council. In 1962, Murray became a staff member at the School of Psychiatric Nursing until its closure.
This file contains a notebook of Murray's school notes, newspaper clippings, receipts, a handbook for the guidance of employees of the Provincial Mental Health Services 1960, The Attendant's Guide, rules for nursing staff; The Canadian Nurse magazine, The Psychiatric Nurse magazine, photocopied materials about psychiatric nursing in Canada and photographs.
