Administrative Records

The series consists of records relating to the administration of Como Lake Preschool; including registration documents, financial accounting documents, policies, procedures, handbooks, newsletters, ephemera, and several written accounts of the history of the preschool. This series also includes a leather-bound history that provides a yearly account of the preschool?s operations as well as photographs and newspaper clippings.

Clerk's Office files

Series consists of Clerk?s correspondence arranged alphabetically by subject. Subjects range from permit applications, auctions, air pollution, budgets, electrical and water service, elections, finance, garbage disposal, the Historical Society, insurance claims, the library, parks, public hearings, schools, recreation, superannuation, voters? lists, tax assessment and zoning. Alphabetic miscellaneous files proceed each letter block and in some years as a block of ?miscellaneous A-Z? files are located together at the beginning of annual block.

Earliest material was filmed in 1961 and subsequent filming was done roughly on an annual basis. Filming was done in batches, with closed files pulled for filming and active ones carried forward to the next year. Specific titles of filmed files are listed along with
notes regarding their annual status (i.e. pulled or brought forward), in a series of annual indexes. An index to the individual microfilm reels was created in the 1990s.

Clerk's Office files indexes

Series consists of annual file lists used in conjunction with the Clerk?s Office files series, arranged chronologically. Also includes a list of microfilm contents for the correspondence filmed between 1962 and 1986. The first several reels? contents are specifically listed reel by reel; after 1974, reel numbers are simply annotated on copies of the file indexes.

The series consists of the following: A copy of the submission to the Canada Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism entitled "Maillardville French-Canadians"; several copies of the Maillardville Official Community Plan; a copy of the program for the Millside School's 80th Anniversary; a Parish Report from Notre Dame de Lourdes; a history of the Maillardville pioneers; Commercial design guidelines for Maillardville; and a copy of the "Bonjour Maillardville" newsletter from the Société Maillardville-Uni.

The series consists of Board of Directors annual reports prepared for the annual general meetings of the Coquitlam Skating Club from 1999 to 2006 (N.B. 2002 is missing). The series also includes interim committee reports for 1998.

The series consists of various publications and pamplets collected by Pioneer Tales of Coquitlam Committee to provide historical context for the interviews in the book, "Coqutilam 100 Years: Reflections of the Past," published by the District of Coquitlam in 1991.

Photographs

The series consists of two team photographs taken by the Coquitlam Photo Company, as well as fourteen single player uniformed portraits taken by an unknown photographer, and photographs of hockey games taken by an unknown photographer.

The series consists of medals won by the team at various tournaments, as well as commemorative pins produced by the team, a manager patch worn by Jim Hinds, a team patch, a logo patch, a tournament patch, and a team t-shirt.

The series consists of Association membership lists with some interleaved correspondence. The series also includes an attendance log book covering the period 1973 to 2012 that was acquired as part of an accrual in 2018.

The series consists of two news clippings from the Coquitlam Now from 1986. The first discusses the pageant and the second is an advertisement for Georgio's Night Club, that shows photographs of all of the contestants. Georgio's sponsored Deborah Smyth who won Miss Congeniality and donated the records in this collection.

Community initiatives and organizational materials

The series relates to Boire's involvement with several community organizations and initiatives in Maillardville. Firstly, it encompasses the records of Boire's time with the Maillardville Residents' Association (MRA), on its Maillardville revitalization and planning Task Force, which was instrumental for advocating for development activities. The series also contains records about the development of Place Maillardville, the Coquitlam Heritage Society, as well as the Vancity Maillardville Advisory Committee. Lastly, the series contains fliers, ephemera, and articles about events in Maillardville, including the Festival du Bois, and the 2009 Maillardville centenary.

Record types include agendas and minutes, correspondence, ephemera, brochures, newspaper articles, bulletins, and revitalization and development reports.

Motorsport materials

The series consists of programs and posters from Westwood Racing Circuit as well as copies of Road and Motor Sport Magazine, which reported on races held at Westwood.
